Yes, I WAS shaking my head over you and your friends, but why are you getting so hostile about it?
Isn't the reason that you and your friends dress up like something off the late, late, show to get a reaction from "old people" like me?
I mean, as I often try to point out to the Man, if you are going to look eccentric, people are going to LOOK. So why get pissed about it?
Truly, Goth Girl, I was shaking my head over why someone who is as young and beautiful as you has to dress like that. You've got the sort of skin women my age yearn for--why else would we spend so damn much on lotions and potions? But instead of making us jealous, you put on makeup straight out of "Young Frankenstein". What a waste!
You've got a healthy young body, and if you want to flaunt it, you could. Or if you want to NOT get stared at, you could wear baggy sweats such as I was wearing. But instead you were dressed in Vampirella's rejects....
Expressing yourself? Fine by me. But if someone my age looks at you, wishes she had your youth and freshness with all the knowledge she has now, and shakes her head at how youth is wasted on the young, don't get ticked off--especially not if it's me.
I'm the Library Lady, kiddo. For me, costumes in public are a way of life!
Besides, I know durn well what you were doing. It's the same thing I used to do when I was around your age and went into another McDonalds with my friends from the Society For Creative Anachronism, all dressed up in our medieval costumes.
It's called "freaking out the mundanes"..........
