Are you old enough to remember "Earth Shoes"?
I am. In fact, I vividly remember wanting a pair and envying classmates (including you, Enupoo!) who had them.
It wasn't that my parents wouldn't buy me a pair. The shoes were expensive, but my parents were willing to get them for me.
I just couldn't wear them. My feet are narrow and the damned things wouldn't stay on my feet.
So when "crocs" came on the scene, I was pretty sure I couldn't wear them. They'd be great for SC who inherited the Man's "duck feet", but they'd fall off of my feet and JR's.
But my friend the dance teacher had promised JR a pair for her birthday. And she ended up with a pair of pink "Mary Jane" Crocs. They're loose on her, but she's been wearing them happily every day this week.

So on Friday, I went out and got these, because I really liked the pink color. And they felt surprisingly comfortable.
So I put them on when I got back in the car, and wore them for 5 hours of supermarket, garden center and other errands. And they felt GREAT!
Not only that, the longer I wore them, the better they felt.
So last night, I went on line and ordered these:
And while I was at it, I ordered these:
Plus SC has a boring plain navy pair-- but she likes them.
And JR is getting a second pair, a version called "croc-lings" that may fit her quite well.
Shoe shopping is normally hell for me, no matter whom I'm shopping for.
But this has actually been FUN!
