Thank you, Sparrow, for giving me the perfect topic for Entry 100, by sending me this comment:
"You sure complain a lot"
Well, dear, did you READ the title of this blog? Once again, with clarity:
THE LIBRARY LADY RANTS!!!
Rants is defined by the American Heritage Dictionary as
rant (r
nt)
v. rant·ed, rant·ing, rants
v. intr.
v. tr. To utter or express with violence or extravagance: a dictator who ranted his vitriol onto a captive audience.
n.
So that's what I'm doing here. Call it ranting, call it complaining, call it kvetching--that's Yiddish, by the way.
Oh, and I occasionally do express uproarious merriment--usually at the antics of the Republican Party and their belief that George W Bush is an intelligent, credible, compassionate president and a strong war leader, instead of an ignorant cretin who has made it through life via money, connections and pure dumb luck........
I'm airing my grievances, expressing my views and generally blowing off steam.
Of course I could go on and on and on here about my marvelous life and my adorable children (they are adorable by the way!) but personally, who the hell would want to read it? There are a ton of personal blogs out there that do nothing but go on and on about such topics and they are BORING, except perhaps to the people who write them!
I hope what I write makes someone giggle, or get mad as hell, or roll their eyes, or just plain THINK.
That's why I write. For that matter, that's why I read.
Enough said.................................................
