I celebrate surviving 2004 by looking back at some of last year's blogs:
January: Caldecott Rant or, why I hate "The Tale of Desperaux"
February:Love Song Probably one of the schmalzier entries I have ever written, about SC's birth, and Valentine's Day
March: Tired As spring approaches, I hit rock bottom at home and work.
April: Library Ladies Why I love my profession.
Library Ladies Part 2 On the other hand, some of my colleagues, DON'T love their profession....
May: What I've Done Since Yesterday Or, we buy a car, and the Man shows why, though he is often a superior specimen of the species, he is still a man....
June:None For the Gipper Along with millions of other Democrats, the Man and I have to turn off the news for the week.
July: What the SAHMs I Work With Just Don't Get I love my job and I love my kids and I try to balance both. But a lot of people don't get it because tjhey don't have to.
August:Fun Things I've Been Doing (When I'm Supposed to be on vacation) I'm off from the day job, but the 24/7 job goes on. And on. And on....
September: Dance 10, Looks 3, Or, Everything Isn't Beautiful At the Ballet I start a new ballet class and immediately want to stop
You Can Make "Something" from "Nothing" Even Without A Cute Outfit I give dance class another try
October: An Aggrevating Week and It's Not Over Yet Absolutely normal October chaos at my house.
November:What I'd Like to Believe (But Don't)About Bush Democractic heartbreak and fear.
Dance Class Dropout I'm not giving up on ballet, but I am on my twitty teacher.....December:My Gingerbread Self The only picture of me that ever will be posted here.
Home Again, Home Again A summary of Christmas, before the exhaustion set in and I realized that after 2 weeks off, I hadn't had a vacation.
So, there's a small taste of what 2004 did to me.
2005 will bring more recipes, more rants, and, I hope, a few raves as well.
Happy New Year!
