I don't know what happened the night the guy in my office went to the ballgame with his cooler full of ice from the office freezer--and all those cans of sodas I shook. But here's what's happened since.
Last Wednesday: Walked into the kitchen and checked the freezer. Found that he'd filled a plastic bag with the cubes from the icemaker. Removed half of said cubes and refilled bag with water.
Last Thursday: First bag of ice cubes frozen to the bottom shelf of the freezer. Second bag has been placed in freezer. Repeat Wednesday's method.
Last Friday: Both bags are solidly frozen to the bottom shelf. Circulation manager (who is my friend and knows what I've been doing) goes into the kitchen for ice, sees him taking all the ice and berates him for doing so.
She's his supervisor, BTW. For this alone she deserves to go to Heaven(!)
When he bleats that we close in a hour, she tells him it doesn't matter and that he is being inconsiderate of his co-workers!
She doesn't add--"as usual". But it's true..............
Monday: Both bags of ice are gone. There are two boxes of sodas in the freezer, which I shake just for the heck of it. Doubtless they'll be a mess at the ballpark anyway, but I feel like adding to the fun.
Today: Most of the cubes are in a plastic bag along with his sodas. I add several cups of water.
Would someone please tell me when baseball season is over?
And thank goodness his team sucks and won't make it into the playoffs...................
