Having spent yesterday and Friday with an allergy/cold that stuffed me up so badly I couldn't taste my food, I am enjoying my food today even more than usual!
And lunch today is absolute HEAVEN:
French bread spread with homemade pesto, (homegrown) tomato slices and fresh mozzarella cheese!
Dinner tonight will be Nigella Lawson's chicken with lemon, garlic and thyme--heavy on the garlic. Plus fresh corn on the cob from the farmer's market and raw sliced red,orange and yellow peppers. Peach cake for dessert with or without some homemade vanilla ice cream I made this week--more on ice cream making some other time.
Summer foods make the heat almost bearable............................
